Your whisky tour of Scotland starts here

Scotland Whisky Tours is our company – Liz and Marcus’. We are both incredibly passionate about whisky and Scotland, what a great combination!

Everything is booked for you – accommodation, distilleries and meals if you wish. We invite you to a Zoom call, to discuss your Scotland distillery tours – whether you are a beginner or a connoisseur, wish to learn about Scotch whisky or sample old and rare drams,  it’s all here.  In the last year, many Scottish distilleries offer drop in scotch tastings, so you pay as you dram. We give you glasses and drams in the car for you, the perfect way to pass the day.

All you have to do is get here!

We can take your wish list and work out what’s realistic, to ensure you have a relaxed tour. At Scotland Whisky Tours, we will try to be as flexible as possible, our only limits being distillery timings and ferry sailings.

Our guests will love impromptu whisky tastings.  It’s true about the Scottish weather – but we say that…

“today’s rain, is tomorrow’s whisky in the making.”

We love what we do, we want to share our enthusiasm about Scotch and drams and we look forward to welcoming you to Scotland!

Liz

I’m a Lancashire lass originally but moved to Scotland 35 years ago.  I come from a hospitality background and am lucky to have been in tourism since 1997.

Until 15 years ago, the only way I could drink scotch was  a“hot toddy” (cheap blended whisky, hot water and sugar). Now my passion is, like Marcus, for the highlands and Speyside – nice sherry finishes are perfect for me.

I can’t stand the smell of peaty whiskies but it’s on my bucket list!  I favour Tullibardine (especially the wine finishes), Dailuaine and also love a dram of Dalmore King Alexander – I have an expensive taste!

Marcus

After many years working in London, Marcus returned home to his beloved Scotland and rediscovered his passion for whisky. Several years and many tours later, he has been able to expand on his knowledge of the wonderful countryside, the history of Scotland and of course, indulge in more of his favourite drams – plus a few new ones!

Speyside is still his favourite scotch region and he says you can’t go wrong with a Balvenie, or a Glenfiddich but the Highland malts follow closely behind and he enjoys a Dalmore on special occasions whilst Dalwhinnie is now a firm favourite.

We have lived in Carnoustie, a golfing town on the east coast of Scotland, for 7 years. It’s an ideal base for meeting guests as we’re just over an hour to Edinburgh.  We love travelling around Scotland and both share a passion for the Isle of Mull, especially Tobermory, with it’s cute wee harbour and colourful houses.

We look forward to working with you on a personal whisky tour, so you return home with plenty of happy (if not hazy), whisky memories.
